You will be a vital part of a much larger pensions department of currently circa 23 pension's specialists in many different areas of pensions for a very large in-house scheme of over 25,000 members.
You will be reporting to the Pension Administration Manager, with responsibility for helping and guiding more junior staff below you, with a balance between quantity and quality in all your work output. You will be given the chance to deputise in the Administration Manager's absence and one of you may become a Team Leader with time, so this role has lots of scope for internal progression, including encouraging you to study for PMI should you wish to achieve this academic qualification also. You will be encouraged to get involved in projects, member training, engagement and visiting employees, so you will be someone who is a good communicator in all mediums and enjoys member engagement and really making a difference and showing the value of having an in-house pension department there to help and guide whenever needed.
You will need to be someone able to work on your own initiative and focus and keep on top of work or help clear any backlogs within the team, and perhaps one of you or both will deal with the more complex casework, and demonstrate a good technical pension bias, not just good administration experience.
One role is newly created the other backfill. With so much happening in pensions at this time it could not be a better time to join. Our client offers hybrid working, flexible working and individuals will be considered for these two permanent positions on a full-time basis, but part-time applications will also be accepted.
