You will be a pension's professional who enjoys managing pension provision in multiple areas. The two main ones acting as Scheme Secretary and making sure your demanding set of trustees are given all the information and training required to undertake their roles, and ensuring the Defined Contributions Plan provider meets Service Level Agreements. In this exciting and diverse role, you will be the key point of contact with all internal stakeholders for all pension-related operational and process questions and DB Scheme and DC Plan member queries. You will also act as a key contributor to the development and implementation of the overall Reward Strategy.

As Scheme Secretary you will organise all DB Scheme Trustee Meetings, including those Sub-Committee Meetings where powers and responsibilities have been delegated by the full Trustee Board. Also, the organising for member nominated trustees to be elected, trained and on-boarded and company nominated trustees to be trained and on-boarded. You will collate and distribute meeting papers (using eShare/Boardpacks) and formerly record the discussions and resolutions of all DB Scheme Trustee and Sub-Committee meetings, and follow up on all action points with external advisory team(s), where necessary.

In the other large part of your role you will be responsible for oversight of the third-party administration service for both DB Scheme and DC Plan provider to ensure service standards are consistently met, alongside leading on data quality projects to ensure accurate member information is securely held at all times. You will also collate the information relating to discretionary benefits and make recommendation to the relevant trustee group as necessary.

You will be someone used to dealing with people at all levels, with excellent communication and relationship building skills. You will lead on the drafting and production of various communications including the DB Scheme Members' regular communication, Annual Benefit Statements and Annual Member Newsletter, working with external and internal stakeholders as necessary. You will need to be highly technical in nature, as this role has a continuing responsibility to be aware of legislation and applicable regulation, both current and future changes, and to ensure that both your own and all relevant parties' technical knowledge is kept up to date.

You will possess experience in a similar role, either in-house or appointed from a third-party professional organisation that offers such services on an outsourced basis, and now be ready for a role where you are empowered to take the initiative, join in new projects and add ongoing value in all areas. Our client offers the ability to manage your own working arrangements, either at the office or elsewhere, a highly competitive salary and benefit package and other 'quality of working life' add ons.
