Working as the Pension Risk and Technical Manager you will find this a rewarding technical and risk focused role. Amongst a variety of tasks, the role will involve supporting with the setup of the new pension scheme from the corporate perspective, responsibility for internal financial reporting and monitoring of risk, and providing corporate side support in relation to key pension's projects (including triennial valuations and IAS19 accounting). So you would have more than one hat, and multiple skills. This role has a stronger corporate side than trustee.

Here are most of your accountabilities and responsibilities in this exciting role: Supporting in corporate aspects of the setup of an efficient and effective DB scheme including developing the corporate governance and risk framework in relation to pensions. Ensuring compliance with internal controls and processes, including maintaining a risk register and provision of risk assessments. Providing financial forecasts to Finance, including long-term pension liability/asset forecasts and cash projections. Support in creating pension's briefings to the Finance Committee, including updates on technical pension's issues, strategic priorities and risks. Working with corporate advisers to ensure delivery of strategic pension's risk management priorities, including supporting the Head of Pensions in drafting internal papers where required. Support in managing the triennial valuation processes on behalf of the corporate where required. Managing the financial reporting process, including planning for year-end deliverables, communication with internal and external stakeholders (Financial Control, Actuarial Advisors, Auditors, etc.) and managing the flow of information. Managing pension responsibilities around Investments and Security working to create a collaborative Trustee and Corporate approach. Managing regulatory RIIO processes and reporting and keeping up to date with current statutory regulations and monitoring of changes.

You will report directly into the Head of Pensions and sit within a team of 4 in the Finance Department.
