Are you an experienced governance professional with strong knowledge of occupational pensions (in particular DC schemes)? We have a rare and interesting opportunity for you to provide the highest level of governance and compliance advice to this multi-employer workplace pension scheme.
You must possess a keen eye for detail and have extensive knowledge of the governance requirements in pension schemes. Your resourcefulness, communication and planning skills and experience will help you to anticipate challenges and suggest and deliver solutions.
The role is broad with diverse responsibilities including drafting, editing and communicating guidance, procedures and policies. You will lead risk management including reviewing and updating the risk register. You will ensure adherence to governance and compliance requirements and to provide guidance to the Trustee Board alongside providing a secretariat function to the Sub-Committees, including liaising with committee members and managing the timely preparation of agendas, action points and minutes arising from each meeting.
Extensive experience gained in the pension's industry is essential, ideally you will be (currently or previously) working within trusteeship/legal and/or pension consultancy practices. You will have good organisation skills and the ability to prioritise work according to urgency and importance. Excellent project management skills and effective analytical / problem solving / decision-making skills are critical.
Ideally you will be working towards or successfully completed a relevant Pensions Professional Qualification (such as APMI or FPMI) Knowledge of Mastertrust schemes would be highly beneficial.
