Reporting to the Head of Member Data Management, this role is a subject matter expert and leads a team responsible for data quality and reporting.

You will be an experienced pension's professional with an excellent understanding of pension administration system and reporting, with strong practical systems experience. You will have an in-depth understanding of pension scheme reporting requirements, pension scheme data and pension administration system(s) of some kind (our client has Intellipen), and past/present knowledge of management/reporting pension member data. You will also have experience of SQL or an understanding of relational databases, and possess very strong IT and Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, coupled with strong diagnostic, analytical and process skills. You will need to have strong practical systems experience, and past work experience, which means you are now confident in relationship building with the ability to communicate/interact at all levels within the organisation and external to the organisation, whilst internally supervising and managing your team.

You will manage the production of the following key routine reports to ensure they are accurate and are delivered on time: Monthly and annual provision of Longevity Swap reports and analysis; regular reporting to Pension Regulator; quarterly and annual member movement summaries; Actuarial Valuation extract – annual data extract to support the actuarial valuation; supporting and managing the wider operational reporting requirements for member data. This will include logging all data requests, ensuring requests are made correctly having been specified, and producing reports in accordance with these requirements.

You will work closely with the Head of Member Data Management, supporting, collaborating, and feeding into data cleanse projects as a stakeholder as appropriate: managing a reporting catalogue to ensure all data reports are managed and stored correctly in order that they can be referenced and used for future reports as required; proactively identifying, documenting, and reviewing opportunities for improvement in procedures, processes, and standards; executing implementation of improvements; monitoring and coaching team to meet objectives; preparing, coordinating and conducting performance appraisals, and counselling employees on career and performance/disciplinary issues with support from the Head of Member Data Management.
