Role Description
The Lead Actuary will be required to:
• Lead the actuarial function including nurturing and encouraging the professional development of the graduates in our actuarial graduate programme.
• Lead the review of existing solutions and the development and implementation of new ones.
• Develop the actuarial business strategy with your peers in the Senior Leadership Team
• Embellish our buy-in/buy-out offering and take-to-market strategy
• Further enhance our calculation modules within our proprietary software Constellation
• Continue to build relationships with senior stakeholders in the financial industry
• Own and deliver to revenue targets as set by the Board
• Assist the sales and client management teams as required
Essential Skills and experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as an actuary post qualification
• Fully qualified Fellow of the IFoA
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and VBA skills
• Experience using SQL Databases
• Experience in the Pensions industry (ideally including buy-ins and buy-outs)
• Effective communication and presentation skills
• Management of Junior team members
• Ability to influence and manage senior stakeholders
Desirable skills and experience
R and/ or Python coding
Management experience of up to 10 people
