Based in central Bradford, and administered by the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council, WYPF provides the Local Government Pension Scheme to over 450 employers and almost 295,000 members. The Fund has a diverse investment portfolio covering all asset classes and most equity markets. The investment portfolio is actively managed and almost entirely by the in house investment teams.
To maintain and develop our position within the UK pensions industry we are now looking to appoint 2 Investment Managers to assist the Deputy Director and Assistant Directors in the provision of a high quality investment management service. The Fund is looking for highly motivated individuals to contribute to the development of investment strategy and manage, on a discretionary basis, part of the West Yorkshire Pension Fund’s investment portfolio, with particular emphasis on UK or overseas equity markets. You will also purchase and sell securities and will have sole responsibility for the investments in your portfolio.
You will have:
• A recognised CCAB Accountancy qualifications or recognised Stock Market qualification (e.g. Chartered Financial Analyst, Member of IIMR, Member of Securities Institute).
• Relevant Investment Management experience
• Five years’ experience of working within the professional area of a large financial organisation.
• An ability to organise and plan your own workload in a busy professional environment with many competing tasks
