Working from home (other than quarterly Trustee and Committee meetings) in this newly created, part-time or full-time, flexible working role, your core function will be to support the Trustee Board and Chief Pensions Officer in the management and governance of the Trust, including management of the third-party service providers and advisors, to achieve the delivery of a high quality, professional and timely pension service. This is a varied role consisting of a wide range of functions that can be changeable depending on the annual cycle of the Trust.

Our client is happy to consider applications from those who are seeking to join and progress within the role with succession planning to become the Chief Pensions Officer within roughly 1-2 years (this time period is flexible).

Please don’t be misled by the title of Officer, this is a senior appointment, and our client is seeking someone with proven past and current DB (mainly) and DC occupational pensions experience dealing with TPA and advisor management (including service reviews), pensions governance requirements and working with Trustee Boards including training, legislative requirements, compliance, and running topical pensions projects, (e.g. GMP equalisation) from start to finish. This role includes budget setting, so you also need experience of routine financial procedures.

Key to being successful in this role is that you are a self-starter, able to work on your own initiative from home with minimal supervision, prioritising your own workloads/projects and keeping yourself/other parties on schedule. At this level you will be able to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people at every level.

The remuneration for the role will be a market competitive rate that reflects the skills and expertise of the successful applicant (expected to be up to a six-figure basic FTE).

When applying please advise Dianne if your preference would be to work: Full or part-time (3- 5 days a week) and any special requests within this working pattern.

For a confidential discussion please telephone Dianne Beer on 07747 800740 or email dianne@abenefit2u.com
