Your exciting number two role in this in-house pension department will be to support the Head of Pensions in delivering a member led, professional pension service both nationally and internationally in line with the pension's strategy.
You will be operationally responsible for the three pension schemes administered; provision of advice and information to senior managers in the organisation on complex pension matters and during TUPE/Change programmes; building and maintaining strong links and effective relationships with all service providers; reporting on workloads and performance targets to the Head of Pensions; providing briefings/oversight of the website/other communications with members, and managers on behalf of the Head of Pensions; deputising for the Head of Pensions as required. The role has dual aspects of BAU support and project support linked to this support.
In your supporting role to the Head of Pensions in the implementation of the Group Pensions Strategy, you will monitor service standards of the Pensions and Payroll function and work with the relevant teams to ensure sufficient knowledge is held within the Pension, Payroll, and other HR teams and to ensure corrective action is implemented by the teams.
You will have knowledge of working with Defined Contribution pensions, either Trust or contract-based schemes, and must be able to demonstrate experience of a wide range of periodic pension projects (i.e. annual benefit statements and annual reports) and some experience of bespoke projects. Prince 2 would be advantageous but is not essential as our client will happily sponsor study to help you develop and reach your true potential. You will have strong technical knowledge of DB/DC scheme legislation, and be experienced on Excel spreadsheets. You will be used to checking and collating data, and presenting this in various formats, which you may be asked to do at meetings. There are no direct reports to this role, so no managing, just monitoring and reporting, projects and practices.
Our client offers agile working, 5 or 4-day week option, flex hours around 8am-6pm as long as in line with the rest of the team's needs and 3 days in the office, 2 days at home, and 38 days holiday rising to 40, and that still excludes Bank Holidays!
