Your role will be to support in the management of all aspects of the UK company pension and savings arrangements, including administration services to pension plan members; provision of secretarial services to the pension scheme Trustee and support to UK HR teams on all UK pension-related matters, in addition, to deputise for department manager. Sound exciting? It should, this role has diverse responsibilities from supporting the trustees, including some of their training, to supporting the members, including road-shows and one-to-one chats, and much more. If you are reading this and cannot wait to apply, you are just the sort of dynamic self-starter our client is seeking. Guidance will be given on all areas, but training will be minimal, you will need to learn on the job, and have the initiative to go and find out what you need.

In summarising your core focus areas, you will act as the company secretary to the Trustee company, ensuring that all regulatory and compliance matters associated with operating a Trustee company are adhered to; oversee the governance and mitigate potential operational risks facing the UK pension scheme; provide guidance and support to executive and senior employees in relation to the AA and LTA; manage external providers at a senior level, and oversee continuous improvement in service delivery; deliver technical support and training to the UK Pension Trustee Board, HR and employees, and therefore have experience of proactively managing all aspects of pension scheme governance; manage communications strategy utilising the latest technology and market trends; work with Head of Retirement Plans and Savings to deliver strategic reviews, change programmes and ad hoc projects; and implement strategy for developing and managing all aspects of DC pension provision, as well as the 'at retirement' services.

Our client is very open-minded about your background, it does not have to be a number 2 in a similar role, you might be working in a consultancy as a client manager, where often you could act as STTT and most certainly have lots of direct client interaction. What is vital is your energy and drive, and keenness to get to grips with the role quickly and make it your own, you will be empowered to do so.

A superb opportunity with a dynamic, forward-thinking, yet paternal company, offering a highly competitive salary and benefit package. 5-10% of time will be required for travel.
