Pascal Vernaeve

Old Mutual Asset Management (OMAM) named Pascal Vernaeve as head of Benelux sales. Vernaeve focuses on marketing the investment strategies of OMAM’s affiliates to institutional investors, consultants and platforms in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. He is based in London. Prior to joining OMAM, Vernaeve was a manager for institutional clients covering Benelux institutions at Man Group. He has also worked as an associate investment consultant at Towers Perrin.

René van Leggelo

René Van Leggelo works in Aon Hewitt's global benefits team. He is based in Paris and joined the company from Axa where he was head of international group pensions. Prior to that, he worked at Dexia Insurance and Pensions Solutions in Luxembourg.

Chris Brett

Chris Brett is European Head of Strategic Partnerships at LaSalle Investment Management (LaSalle). Brett works closely with LaSalle’s existing global client services team, with a focus on the needs of major institutional investors.
He joined LaSalle Investment Management from Jones Lang LaSalle, where he headed the International Desk in London and focused on advising major investors from the Middle East, Asia Pacific and North America on their direct real estate exposure.

David Cartwright

Independent financial research company Defaqto appointed David Cartwright as its Head of Insight, in a move which saw him leave AXA-Bluefin where he was Head of Research and Development for eight years. Cartwright's career in financial services spans more than 30 years, in which he has specialised in the research, analysis and risk management side of financial products and institutions. In addition, Cartwright has previously held senior positions at Moorgate House, a leading advice firm in the professional connections and accountancy IFA market, and at life office Provident Mutual (General Accident).

Jack Lin

Jack W. Lin is head of Asia and Middle East at Pioneer Investments. Lin works towards building Pioneer Investments’ presence as well as further expand its business to fit the broader growth plan in this region, positioning the company’s capabilities to large, sophisticated institutional investors. These include sovereign wealth funds, central bank reserves, large state pension funds and global distributors.He joined from Janus Capital where he held the position of Head of Asia Pacific. He has spent almost his entire career in Asia starting as an analyst and portfolio manager in Franklin Templeton Emerging Market Group.

Louise Witts

Louise Witts is senior actuary within SL’s Investment Management's Product and Proposition Development team. Previously a partner at Barnett Waddingham, Witts has 20 years’ experience in the actuarial consulting industry, including pensions consultancy, investment consultancy, longevity product development and the modelling of construction capital projects.
A fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, she plays a central role in product development, as well as providing technical input and advice to both clients and prospects, covering the purchasing and valuation of Traded Endowment Policies (TEPs) and Life Settlements, client reporting and the structuring of new portfolios.

Stavros Siokos

Stavros Siokos, is President at Sciens Capital Management. In his role, Siokos is responsible for the general management of the fund of funds and the managed account platform businesses based in London, Guernsey and Zurich. He is also a member of Sciens’ Investment Committee. Dr Siokos formerly spent 13 years serving as managing director within the equities division of Citigroup in London, where he was global head of alternative execution sales (program trading, algorithmic trading, Direct Market Access), global head of pre and post trade analytics, global head of portfolio trading strategies, as well as European head of the company's pension funds and insurance companies’ structured solutions for equities.

Michael Hart

In his role as Senior Marketing Director, Michael Hart is responsible for institutional business development in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Australia. Prior to joining Sciens, Hart worked for bfinance for ten years where he was responsible for the development of the institutional pension fund business in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Earlier in his career, Hart worked for Morley Fund Management in institutional business development. He holds a BSc Hons Land Administration (Property Law and Finance) from the
University of Westminster in London.
