Momentum Pensions has appointed Sandra Robertson as group chief executive officer (CEO).
Robertson has worked at the international pensions specialist as a consultant for the past year, and brings extensive experience as a Group CEO and business adviser from a 30-year career in financial services. Previously, she worked for the Knox Group and was also group chief executive at Charterhouse Group International, as well as spending time at Scottish Provident International and Canada Life Assurance. Robertson replaces Stewart Davies, who is stepping back after six-and-a-half years in the role but will remain in place as board director, working with key intermediaries in conjunction with the wider team in the Malta office.
XPS Pensions Group has promoted Ben Fisher and Mary McCleod to the role of partner.
Fisher, as scheme actuary, has helped in developing the firm’s service to help pension schemes protect their members against the growing threat of scams, as well as providing clear, pragmatic actuarial advice to clients. McCleod, regional operations manager with XPS Administration, has aided management of XPS’s growth in the pensions administration business and developing the firm’s administration service delivery to clients.
Aegon Asset Management has bolstered its fixed income team with four new hires.
Former Arrow Global portfolio manager, Philip van der Meijden, has joined the team as an investment manager and will focus on residential mortgages and co-management of the Aegon Dutch Mortgage Funds. George Konings, a co-manager of the Aegon SME Loan Fund and a former Rabobank associate director, has also been brought in as an investment manager. Fellow Rabobank alumni Mickey Teunissen will also serve as an investment manager and co-manager of the Aegon SME Loan Fund. Finally, former Goldman Sachs debt & capital markets team executive director, George Nijborg, has been hired as a co-manager of the firm’s corporate private placement strategy.
