PTL has named Sam Burden as a client director in its Birmingham office.
Burden is an associate of the Pensions Management Institute and has 25 years in the pension industry. Before joining PTL, he had held senior roles at WTW and KPMG. “Sam is a highly experience pensions professional and has worked with a wide range of sponsors and trustees across both DB and DC arrangements in many sectors”, commented PTL managing director, Richard Butcher, “his in-depth understanding of pension issues, particularly with DC arrangements, will be of huge benefit to the schemes we represent.”
Isio has appointed Emily McGuire, a new partner, into its investment advisory team.
McGuire will play a key role in delivering Isio’s ambitious growth plans, focusing on team development, client leadership and exploring growth opportunities within pensions and other institutional investors, bringing with her 23 years of experience from her previous position at Aon. McGuire commented: “I am looking forward to helping the Isio investment team operationalise the delivery approach as it continues its strong growth and to working on the people strategy to help the team develop and achieve their potential."
Alison Morris has been appointed as the new chief risk officer for Aegon UK.
Morris will replace Colin Black who has been acting chief risk officer since Jim Ewing was appointed chief financial officer in January 2022. Whilst the appointment is still subject to regulatory approval, Morris is expected to take up the role from 4 August. Morris joined Aegon UK in 2019 as chief internal auditor, responsible for directing and leading an effective internal audit framework across Aegon UK which saw her join the executive team, reporting directing to Aegon UK CEO, Mike Holiday-Williams.
