Appointments update 17 October 2019

Alpha FMC hires Bruce Davies and Dan Mahony to its new Pensions and Retail Investments Practice.

Davies joins from EY, where built and led the Life, Pensions and Investments transformation capability. Mahony also joins from EY, where he led its relationships with clients, having started his career at Prudential. They have been hired to build the practice, which will focus on helping wealth and asset managers transform their business models.


BNP Paribas Asset Management appoints Arnauld Schwebel as global head of its new Retirement Solutions department.

BNP Paribas has formed the new department to develop opportunities linked to the growth of DC pension saving. Schwebel will assume responsibility for the department, having previously been head of strategy, corporate development and public affairs as BNP Paribas Asset Management and is a member of the wider executive committee.


Smart Pension has appointed digital strategist Anna Darnley as a trustee.

The 26-year-old joins Smart with two years of trustee experience at Accenture Retirement Savings Plan and takes the independent Smart Trustee Board of five up to 60 per cent female. Smart said that its board now represents all generations of scheme savers.
