About the role
• You will lead Pensions strategy, and associated resources, providing specialist advice and risk management support to the Director of Finance, Chief Finance Officer and Trustee Chairs,
• Deliver high quality service and value for money across the University’s multiple pension schemes
• Champion innovation and effectiveness in all pensions activities to provide a positive experience for employees and pensioners, supporting The University in being a world-leading employer
• Oversee the operational functions of the Pensions section, manage and lead a high performing team, with focus on ongoing staff development and progression

About you
• Significant experience of managing major, complex pension schemes with significant independencies, risk management and associated projects with organisational-wide impact
• You will bring an agile, resilient and collegiate approach with a track record of facilitating and leading change within a complex environment, Higher Education industry experience beneficial but not essential
• Skilled working with diverse specialist and generalist stakeholders as well as external advisors
• Familiarity leading broad and high-achieving teams and exceptional problem-solving and organisation skills
