Phoenix Life launches online full encashment portal.

Pheonix Life has launched ‘MyPhoenix’, an online portal for eligible customers with smaller pension pots who want to encash their funds under £10,000 in one lump sum. This follows the introduction of Phoenix’s customer Retirement Centre. The new platform allows customers to cash-in their pensiosn without having to contact a call centre. Phoenix Life data revealed that over one third, 38 per cent, of members are eligible to access their pensions online in this way. Policyholders aged 55+ with a pension pot of £10,000 or under with no guaranteed annuity rates applying to their policy can use ‘MyPhoenix’

Suffolk Life has launched two new online features to assist advisers.

Suffolk Life has added two new features to its web portal to help advisers better service their clients. The additions enable advisers to view their clients’ drawdown information and bank transactions online. The first is for advisers with clients whose plans contain crystallised funds, showing the split between crystallised and uncrystallised funds within the plan, and, where applicable, the split between capped and flexi-access funds. The second enhancement presents clients’ bank transactions online.

Legal & General launches first Social Value Charter in housing projects.

Legal & General has announced that it is the first housebuilder in the UK to embed the principle of social value into its business as it starts to build new homes in Buckler’s Park, Crowthirne. In partnership with the Social Value Portal, Legal & General has started to look at how much social value it can create for the community at Buckler’s Park, its new 250-acre development site in Berkshire. As part of this approach, the business has created a Social Value Charter to monitor and communicate how much value its developments produce to the benefit of the local community.
