News in brief: 16 November

PensionBee customers are now able to see their live pension balance within the Money Dashboard app.

Money Dashboard is giving existing users the ability to see their live PensionBee pension balance alongside all their other financial balances. Commenting, PensionBee head of corporate development, Claire Reilly, said: “What a pleasure to kick off Financial Capability Week 2018 with exciting news of the PensionBee - Money Dashboard integration! Bringing together short- and long-term finances as part of open banking is an important step towards driving up financial capability skills for life and starting to tackle the UK’s long-term savings crisis.

The Brunel Pension Partnership (Brunel), has partnered with Colmore who will provide the Private Markets team with Middle and Back Office Administration Services.

Following the launch of the OJEU procurement tender in July 2018, Brunel has selected Colmore to help deliver a high-quality, resilient and compliant, operational backbone to support Brunel’s new Private Market Portfolios, with the capability to handle pre-existing client investments. “Colmore provided us with the most economically advantageous and comprehensive tender and have truly demonstrated their ability and willingness to collaborate with us fully on this venture,” Brunel head of private markets Richard Fanshawe.

Legal & General has agreed to forward fund the development of Unity Square in Nottingham as HM Revenue and Customs’ (HMRC) latest regional hub, helping to facilitate significant economic growth in the city and putting Nottingham back on the occupier map.

The development is being undertaken by Peveril Securities and its joint venture partner Sladen Estates. HMRC has entered into a 25-year pre-let on the development for its Nottingham Regional Centre. It is set to open in summer 2021 and Phase 1 will accommodate around 4,000 full-time equivalent employees. Legal & General has agreed to forward fund the construction of the development on behalf of Legal & General Retirement, which invests in high-quality, long-term UK assets to generate income streams that match its commitments to pensioners and deliver infrastructure funding which benefits the UK’s economy.
