New fiduciary management offering on the market

Dutch firm Mn Services Investment Management has launched its fiduciary management offering in the UK.

The launch coincides with the appointment of Colin English as head of business development UK, and Gwion Moore as head of investment strategy UK.

English will be responsible for acquiring new fiduciary management mandates from UK pension funds, and previously held key positions at Towers Perrin and Mercer. He also co-founded a niche pension and employee benefit consultancy. Moore will be responsible for ALM and investment strategy for UK pension schemes, and will draw on his experience from his time as head of European pension asset and liability management and structuring at Lehman Brothers Inc. and JP Morgan.

The UK branch of the originally Dutch firm was established in October 2008, and the time taken to launch has allowed Mn Services to tailor their fiduciary management proposition to UK pension schemes. "[We] have now put in place a strong team of pensions professionals who will be able to deliver Mn Services' fiduciary management propositions in a manner that is tailored to the needs and circumstances of UK pension schemes. I am really pleased that we are now in a position to actively enter the market," said van Eeuwijk.

English added: "We already have promising contacts with several UK pension funds, consultants, and independent trustees. The interest in the UK in fiduciary management and in Mn Services has exceeded our already optimistic expectations. In fact, I expect that we will already start taking part in selection processes during the next few months."
