Appointments update 23 May

• Standard Life has appointed Luke Savage as its chief financial officer and an executive director of the firm with effect from 18 August 2014.

Savage has been a director of finance and operations at Lloyd’s of London where he was responsible for the programme to implement Solvency II across the Lloyd's market. Prior to this he held roles at Deutsche Bank and Morgan Stanley.

• Equiniti has appointed Lucy Dimes as chief operating officer to manage Equiniti’s business divisions and operations.

Dimes will report to Guy Wakeley and her operational responsibilities will include managing customer experience, customer service channels, processes and operations.

Dimes has been a board level executive for over fifteen years and joins from Alcatel-Lucent where she was CEO for Ireland. Prior to that, she held a role at BT. She is also a non-executive director for Berendsen PLC.

• Brooks Macdonald Employee Benefits has announced the appointment of Camille French as client relationship manager to its growing London team, where she will be responsible for building and strengthening existing relationships with small-to-medium sized employers.

French has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on employee benefits consultancy.

She joins BMEB from JLT Employee Benefits, where she developed strong working relationships with corporate clients and assisted with their specific requirements for auto enrolment, flexible benefits, employee engagement and other areas of employee benefits.

French has also held roles at Alexander Forbes Consultants & Actuaries Limited and EW Blanch.

• Charles Russell LLP has appointed Esther White as senior associate of its pensions team

White joins the firm from Independent Trustee Services Limited with 10 years’ experience in pension law. She was previously a Barrister, partner and more recently a professional pensions trustee.

White also has experience of equalisation issues and advising in relation to individual member matters. She will be working closely with Michael Jones and Andrew Benson.
