J.P.Morgan Asset Management has promoted John Stainsby to head of UK institutional business. Stainsby will be moving from his role as head of the client portfolio management team for global equities in London. He previously worked at Lloyd George where he was involved in investing and business development and Schroders where he worked with institutional clients in the UK, US and Asia.
Defaqto has appointed Asitha Rodrigo as its chief technology officer (CTO). Rodrigo who has 15 years experience in technology and change across the financial service, media and e-commerce sectors will help to develop software tools to enable the multi-channel distribution of product data. He previously held senior technology related roles at Deloitte, MorningStar and Money Marketing.
MetLife has promoted Mike Hocking to regional sales director for the Midlands. Hocking will be looking to build productive partnerships with independent financial advisers to continue the company’s expansion strategy. He joined MetLife in 2010 as a senior sales development manager in the South West.
ITM, a pension data and administrations systems consultant, has appointed Nathan Jones as senior consultant. He joins from PwC where he was a senior associate and prior to that worked as a consultant at Go Pensions. He is also an associate member of the Pensions Management Institute (PMI).
