Capital Cranfield has appointed Harus Rai as head of sole trusteeship.
Rai joins from Capita Pension Trustees where has was a professional trustee and previously held positions at Mercer and Hewitt Associates. In the newly created role, Rai will work to develop Capital Cranfield’s trustee model and will work with the firm’s professional trustees and governance team on both existing clients and new opportunities.
Aon has appointed Steve Bale as a principal consultant in its risk settlement team.
Bale joins with 19 years’ experience in life and pensions, having spent the last seven years at Legal & General, most recently as a risk actuary covering large UK and US pension risk transfer deals. He is a fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and has chaired the Continuous Mortality Investigation’s (CMI) High Age Mortality Working Party since 2014.
Brown Shipley has appointed Rhona McColl as business development manager and Andy Bolden as a wealth planner.
McColl is an experienced business development specialist, previously serving as sales manager at Legal & General. At Brown Shipley she will be responsible for promoting the Edinburgh office and its wealth management services across Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Bolden joins with 30 years of industry experience and will also work to broaden the Edinburgh office’s proposition for clients in Scotland and Northern Ireland. He has previously worked with a range of clients, including those in the medical and academic professions, advising them on their long-term wealth planning goals and issues such as inheritance tax, pensions and retirement. Bolden joined Brown Shipley in 2015, following the acquisition of Hampton Dean, where he had worked as a consultant since 2001.
