- AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) has appointed Monique Diaz as global head of compliance. Based in Paris, Monique will be responsible for AXA IM’s compliance teams across the globe.
Monique has 25 years of legal and compliance experience having joined the AXA Group in 1989. She was previously AXA IM’s head of compliance in France. She will report to Christian Gissler, global head of risks and controls.
- Hornbuckle has appointed Richard Valentine as operations director and Bill Graham as a property specialist.
Valentine’s previous experience includes over seven years with IPS & James Hay, where he was most recently managing director of its Bristol operation. He will be in charge of the core pension administration teams, including drawdown, investments and property. Graham joins the firm from Suffolk Life where he was head of property management. He joins Hornbuckle in the Edinburgh office, and will oversee property administration and transactions.
- Standard Life Investments has appointed Alex Campbell and Marianne Froude to its infrastructure debt team.
Campbell joins as investment director for infrastructure debt and will be responsible for the sourcing, negotiation, preparation and review of infrastructure debt funding proposals. Froude has joined as investment analyst for the infrastructure team. She will assist in preparation of debt submissions with particular responsibility for the analysis of detailed cash flow models and financial analysis of counterparties.
- LCM Partners has appointed Fernando Yanez as managing director to its investment management team.
He is a qualified lawyer and an accomplished investment banker with over 17 years' experience, most recently as head of specialty finance and FIG M&A at JP Morgan (EMEA). Fernando joined JP Morgan in 2005 and moved to London in 2009, building JP Morgan's Specialty Finance unit to be one of the best in Europe. Prior to this he specialised in M&A as a lawyer with Sidley Austin Brown & Wood in New York and Basham in Mexico.
