Appointments update 08 November

Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) has named Sonja Laud as deputy chief investment officer and William Riley as head of solutions.

Laud joins LGIM from from Fidelity International, where she was head of equity. She also previously held senior investment management roles at Barings, Schroders and DWS. Riley had been employed in a number of different senior portfolio management positions at BlackRock, including head of client solutions portfolio management EMEA.

Sacker & Partners LPP (Sackers) has appointed four new associates: Liam Goulding, Hannah Savill, Charlotte Bailey and Andrew Harper.

Goulding joins Sackers from Slaughter and May and is a two-year qualified associate. Savill joins from Allen & Overy and is a 1.5 year qualified associate. Bailey joins from Eversheds and Harper from Pinsent Masons, both having qualified earlier this year.

Mercer has announced the appointment of Benoit Hudon as UK head of wealth, subject to regulatory approval.

Hudon has over 20 years of risk management consultancy experience and was most recently Mercer’s global defined benefit leader. He was the lead advisor on the only two pensions longevity insurance transactions outside of the UK and was one of the “main architects” in the development of the Mercer Pension Risk Exchange.
