An opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional to join one of the largest Local Government Pension Schemes and play a key role in delivering investment strategy and asset allocation for the West Midlands Pensions Fund.

With over 300,000 members and 600 participating employers across the West Midlands, the £14 billion Fund is creating a new role to lead on financial risk management and support the transition of Fund investments into the LGPS Central Pool (with projected assets under management of £40 billion) from April 2018.

Knowledge of a variety of asset classes and portfolio structures is expected. Strong communication skills, effective relationship management and leadership skills are required.
