You will assist the Pensions and Benefits Manager to support the Company and Trustees in managing and developing our pension schemes. You will be responsible for ensuring good governance of both pension schemes, whilst supporting members with their pension benefits.

About the role

• Ideally using previous pensions experience, the successful candidate will provide a vital role in supporting the Pension Team and two Boards of Trustees
• Provide guidance on technical and governance issues
• Help co-ordinate the running of both schemes, including scheme secretarial duties
• Be a key support for our employees and members with their benefits in the pension schemes
• Support the Pension and Benefits Manager with the development of the pension schemes
• Complete administration processes and governance tasks to ensure all legal and regulatory requirements are met

About you

• Be numerate
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Possess good IT skills and be proficient user of MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and Teams
• Have good planning and organisation skills, and be able to prioritise and deliver tasks to deadlines
• Have good interpersonal, collaboration and team working skills.
• GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in Mathematics and English Language; and
2- A-Levels Grade C or above OR an NVQ Level 3 OR an ONC in Business Management
• Previous experience of working in a UK pension function, either in-house or for a third-party provider
• Holds or is working towards an pensions qualification e.g. Pensions Management Institute
