Speaker Profile: Paul Kitson
Paul is UK Head of Pensions Consulting at EY where he leads a team of over 110 actuaries, investment consultants, pensions governance professionals and data scientists.
With a career spanning 25 years, Paul has been at the forefront of some of the UK’s largest and most innovative pension transactions and strategy projects. Paul has led a number of multi-£billion derisking transactions for Defined Benefit (DB) Pension Schemes and their corporate sponsors, including for British Airways Pension Funds, ITV, and many others. Paul has also executed a number of longevity swap transactions.
On the Defined Contribution (DC) side, Paul led the work with the current Lord Mayor Alistair King and the City of London Corporation to develop the Mansion House Accord, signed by 17 providers covering 90% of the UK DC market, and the Employers Pension Pledge announced in July 2025 which had companies representing over 1 million members signing as cornerstone signatories.
Paul is often sought after for his insights, and is a commentator and presenter on pension-related topics speaking at conferences in UK, US, Canada, Taiwan, South Africa, and across Europe. Additionally, Paul serves as an Actuarial Expert Witness and an Independent Longevity Specialist, and is a member of ILMAC.
