TPT Retirement Solutions has appointed Joanna Matthews as chair of trustees.
Matthews will replace Sarah Smart and will continue in her role as chair of the Royal Mail Pension Plan, the Electricity Supply Pensions Scheme, the Siemens Benefit Scheme, the Vodafone Group Pension Scheme and the Civil Aviation Authority Pension Scheme. She moved into independent trusteeship 10 years ago and is a lawyer by training.
Redington has promoted David Bennett to its board and Patrick O’Sullivan to head of investment consulting.
Bennett will join the board in the newly created executive position, while O’Sullivan will take up Bennetts’s previous role, responsible for leading the firm’s investment consultancy proposition, having joined the firm in 2012. O’Sullivan will also continue to integrate the firm’s work across investment, risk management and defined contribution propositions. Bennett joined Redington in 2010 and will run the investment consultancy business in place of co-founder Robert Gardener.
Stephenson Harwood has named Stephen Richards as partner in its pensions team.
Richards will focus on advising employers, trustees and insurance companies on a wide range of pension related matters. He joins from Allen and Overy and has built up his experience in the banking sector, master trusts buy-ins and buy-outs and major strategic projects.
