A fantastic opportunity is available for a high level experienced pensions professional to join our Benefits team as UK Pensions & Benefits Manager.

The main UK pension scheme has a defined benefit and defined contribution section with combined assets of £1.5bn. With a small team reporting in, this is a great opportunity to either deepen your in-house pensions and investments experience, or alternatively make a move from pensions consultancy to an in-house role.

What you’ll be responsible for:

The UK Pensions and Benefits Manager is responsible for advising and assisting both the Trustees, setting and driving their agenda, and the Company with the development and operation of UK pension provision. You will need to ensure an effective service is provided to the Trustees and Membership of the UK Pension schemes. Providing a secretariat service to the Trustees, you’ll monitor legislation, regulations & proposed changes, and have strong communication & presentation skills to explain complex issues at all levels of the organisation. You’ll also be responsible for ensuring that appropriate finance records/accounts are maintained in respect of the pension fund and oversee the preparation of the annual accounts, Trustee reports and summary report.

Is this You?

· A depth of occupational pensions experience gained at a managerial, specialist or consultant level, coupled with a proven background in DB and DC schemes is essential
· Excellent analytical and numeracy skills along with strong influencing and communication skills is also important.
· Knowledge of investment markets and how they operate.
