Speaker Profile: Lucy Barron

Lucy joined AXA IM in 2012 as an LDI Solutions Manager and is responsible for partnering with pension schemes and their advisors to design derivative-led investment strategies. Prior to AXA IM, Lucy worked for two years at LGIM, where she was a Derivatives Structurer within the LDI team. Preceding that, Lucy worked for two years at Insight Investment as a Solutions Specialist in the Financial Solutions group. Lucy initially began her career at Mercer as a Pensions and Investment Consultant where she advised on a range of large corporate pension schemes of over £5 billion; she specialised in advising and implementing investment strategies, in particular LDI solutions. Lucy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Durham and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries.
