Speaker Profile: Margaret Snowdon

Margaret Snowdon, OBE is a high-profile figure in the pensions sector and as President of the Pensions Administration Standards Association (PASA) she is committed to raising the standard of administration and improving member outcomes. She recently gave evidence to the Work and Pensions Committee Inquiry on pension scams and she is advising DWP on draft regulations in relation to the current Pension Schemes Bill. Margaret wears many industry hats, most recently as Independent Non-Executive Director of the Phoenix Group With Profits Committees, Non-Executive Director of the pensions regulator and Independent Non-Exec Director of Xafinity plc. She is Chair of Pension Scams Industry Group (PSIG). She was appointed an OBE in the 2010 New Year's Honours List for services to Pensioners. Margaret strives to increase and encourage pension savings and has been at the forefront of work to protect pension scheme members from the pitfalls of pension scams.
