Jonathan leads LCP’s work on DB endgame innovation, with a focus on the options and opportunities created by growing pension scheme surpluses. He helps trustees and sponsors rethink traditional endgame approaches, exploring how surplus can be used to enhance member outcomes and deliver value to sponsors.
He developed LCP Elevate, a run-on framework designed to help schemes actively manage and use surplus—turning pension schemes into productive assets rather than winding them up at buy-out.
Alongside this, he advises corporates helping them understand and manage the costs and risks associated with supporting their current and legacy pension schemes as well as other employee benefits.
