According to a Pension Corporation study, 62 per cent of pension scheme trustees believe that they should be paid in some way due to the changes to their workload in recent years. 55 per cent of respondents say their increasing expertise is a reason for payment, 17 per cent claim it was due to extra responsibility, and 14 per cent say the ”unrecognised time” they spend warrants pay.
