Mike O' Brien, Minister for Pensions Reform, has announced that the Pensions Bill is to be amended to make it illegal for employers to force workers to opt out of personal accounts. However, John Branford from HamishWilson has warned that this could leave well-meaning employers in a tricky situation where they are afraid of doing the right thing for fear of being penalised by the Pensions Regulator.
