News in brief - 17 July 2020

Phoenix Group has introduced new in-scheme drawdown and investment options for DC master trust clients.

The new offering will be available within its DC master trust pension scheme proposition for clients of Standard Life Assurance and will give scheme members access to their pension savings from within their scheme. This will include new investment options built on the principles of the investment pathways architecture, to be introduced for contract-based pension schemes next year.

Macquarie Investment Management has announced the expansion of its True Index capability to all UK clients.

The index is a strategy that has been available within DC schemes in Australia for over two decades. It provides clients with a unique approach to indexing with exact index returns for no management fee, as well as the flexibility to invest across a range of asset classes and geographies, and a robust, multi-layered risk management approach. The firm is also working with Mobius Life and a UK pension scheme to provide a bespoke pooled global equity True Index Solution.

RiskFirst has announced that Graystone Consulting, a Morgan Stanley business, will be using its PFaroeDB solution.

The platform will allow Graystone Consulting to improve its institutional pension client base, most notably by improving the integration of pension actuarial and liability analytics into the firm’s investment advice. It will also ensure a consistent approach to the firms investment risk and advisory services, with increased testing capabilities for different advice and scenarios.
