Appointments update 4 October 2021

Ross Trustees has announced the appointment of Dickson Best as a trustee director.

Best joins the firm from PwC, where he was a director in its pension employer covenant and restructuring practice, and brings more than 15 years of direct pensions experience to the role. He is a trained insolvency practitioner, and also spent a period of time at The Pensions Regulator, where he built a deep understanding of the regulator’s powers. He is the third trustee director appointed in 2021.

Barnett Waddingham has named Matt Flower as senior business development consultant.

Flower joins from Isio, where he was UK sales leader for the pensions and investment business. The appointment is expected to strengthen the provider’s business development team, with Flower to lead the pursuit of new business opportunities across Barnett Waddingham in his new role.

Quilter Cheviot has appointed Matt Sullivan as head of professional services.

Sullivan will report to Quilter Cheviot managing director of investment management, Nick Holmes, and will be responsible for supporting Quilter in building new specialist services that help the private clients of lawyers, accountants, and financial advisers better manage their clients’ wealth. He joins from Brewer Dolphin, where he held the same role, which saw him responsible for the creation of its national professional services channel.
