Appointments update 23 April

• AMP Capital has appointed Kate Campbell as institutional director for the firm’s London office.

Campbell will be working to develop AMP Capital’s European institutional client business. She will work with clients such as pension funds, insurers, private banks and multi-managers.

She joins AMP from J.P Morgan where she was executive director for capital introduction and held previous roles at Deutsche Bank, Equity Capital Markets and Goldman Sachs.

• Hymans Robertson has appointed Stephen Makin to join its enterprise risk management team as senior risk consultant.

Makin joins the firm from Prudential where he was previously head of longevity research. He has 18 years’ experience in the industry and recently ran his own consultancy business, with a focus on helping clients with the quantitative aspects of their Solvency II preparations.

• LCP has appointed Suzanne Taylor as a senior consultant in its pensions administration team.

She has over 14 years’ experience in pensions administration and operational change management - including DB and DC pensions, accounts and payroll - gained in regional human resources outsourcing roles, most recently with Aon Hewitt.

Taylor will be based in LCP’s London office.

• State Street Global Advisors has announced three new appointments to its institutional business in the UK, Italy and Benelux region.

Joe Riddaway joins as UK senior consultant relations manager reporting to Helen Copinger-Symes, head of consultant relations for Europe Middle East and Africa. Riddaway will strengthen SSgA’s engagement with consultants in the UK and will be based in London. He joins SSgA from Mercer Investments where he was head of UK client service for its fiduciary management business. Riddaway also worked in investment consultancy roles at JLT Actuaries, Consultants Ltd and Pricewaterhousecoopers.

Jasper Bugter has been appointed as senior relationship manager for the institutional business in the Benelux team, reporting to Robert Rijlaarsdam, head of SSgA Benelux. Bugter joins from Generali Investments Europe where he was head of institutional sales for the Benelux region. Before this, he managed institutional client accounts at Robeco, AEGON and ABN AMRO Bank.

Michele Marchese, joins as senior sales manager for SSgA’s institutional business in Italy. He will report to Antonio Iaquinta, head of institutional for SSgA Italy. Previously, Marchese worked at Credit Suisse for nine years in the asset management division where he was responsible for developing its institutional business in Italy and more recently business development in Iberia, Latin America and Southeast Asia.
