Appointments update 23 April

Schroders has appointed two portfolio managers within its fixed-income team.

Robbie Boukhoufane and Alan Wilson will join as portfolio managers within the global multi-sector fixed income team, reporting to team head Paul Grainger. Boukhoufane joined the firm six years ago and will be responsible for building and expressing the firm’s macro views in rates and currency markets. Wilson joins from State Street Global Advisors and will be working on global macro strategies, responsible for adding alpha across the portfolios.

Legal and General names two key hires to drive customers online experience.

Robert Jamieson has been named group chief digital and technology officer, while Janine Menasakanian will become head of distribution strategy. Jamieson was previously chief operating officer of Legal and General Retirement and in his new role will be responsible for spearheading the firm’s digital evolution. Menasakanian joins from Vanguard where she was head of financial institutions. She will be responsible for developing the Legal and General’s personal investing business.

Allen and Overy has promoted Andy Cork to partner in its pension team.

Cork will be working in the tier one pensions team, providing board level strategic advice for trustees and companies running the largest UK pension schemes, dealing with pension risks, regulatory change and managing liabilities. Previously he has been responsible for advising trustees on buy-in purchases.
