The Fidelity Master Trust is authorised by The Pensions Regulator (TPR). The board of Trustees oversees the strategic direction of the Master Trust including the investment strategy and ultimately ensures consumers’ best interests remain at the centre of the Master Trust’s long-term strategy.

The Board of Trustees is seeking to appoint a new independent trustee, to form part of the Master Trust’s transition towards a fully independent board. Reporting to the Chair of the Master Trust Board, the successful candidate will be a ‘Consumer Champion’, with a background in financial services and/or pensions, and in-depth experience of risk management and corporate governance. They will ideally bring a track record of advocating for the interests of consumers and operating at senior levels. Committee chair experience would be helpful. The Trustee board is seeking a collaborative and
inclusive Trustee, with the intellectual curiosity and drive to engage with the board and the business. Fidelity actively encourages applications for a broad mix of perspective and experience.

The successful candidate will be expected to devote at least 20 days per year on Master Trust business, split across five meetings
