TPR appoints three new members to Determinations Panel

The Pensions Regulator (TPR) has announced that it has appointed three new members to its Determinations Panel.

The newly appointed members are Jennifer Eady, a QC specialising in employment law, Matthew Lohn a senior partner at Field Fisher Waterhouse who specialises in advising statutory and royal charter regulations and Catharine Seddon who has worked as a documentary-film maker for the BBC and Channel 4 for most of her career.

The Determinations Panel’s main role is to make decisions as to when to use its powers to deal with such issues such as the breach of pensions law. In addition it can also exercise its powers when an application has been made by the trustees, members or employers of a scheme.

Chair Andrew Long said: “The new members bring with them a wealth of experience and knowledge spanning many fields. They will add further depth to a panel that deal with a wide variety of cases, many of which can ve very complex.”
