Punter Southall has been appointed by The Sports and Recreation Trust Association, known as sporta, to advise on auto-enrolment. Sporta has more than 100 member trusts across the UK, made up of former local authority leisure and cultural organisations. Now 36 of them have banded together to establish an auto-enrolment scheme, allowing participants to benefit from the greater economies of scale that a larger group can negotiate.
P-Solve has increased its number of charity clients after being appointed by NACRO, the UK’s largest charity dedicated to reducing crime. The organisation’s 1,400 workers and volunteers help many thousands of people every year in partnerships in over 200 communities. It has 1,750 members in its £40.5m pension scheme.
The Rexam Pension Plan has appointed Towers Watson as scheme actuary to the £1.8bn scheme, following a competitive tender process. Colin Singer, who is one of Towers Watson’s most senior actuaries, will fill the scheme actuary role. The scheme has around 23,000 members and is sponsored by Rexam, a global consumer packaging company.
