Computer glitch hits 12,000 pensioners' annuity payouts

A computer glitch at Legal & General (L&G) has prevented around 12,000 pensioners from receiving their annuity payouts.

The Independent reported that pensioners may have to wait until Tuesday to receive their cash, but stated that it was just a "one-off" which would not affect the pensions of its other 650,000 annuity customers.

L&G customers have been urged to contact the company's helpline on 01737 375151 if they have been affected.
