Kames Capital has strengthened its fixed income team with the appointment of Claire McGuckin. Her 18 years experience in credit research will strengthen the company’s fixed income capabilities, particularly in the high yield sector. McGuckin joins from Legal and General Investment Management where she worked as a fund manager and formerly as an analyst. Prior to that, she worked at Fidelity as an analyst.
Alan Millward has been appointed as director of corporate benefits at Jelf Employee Benefits. He will help to develop the company’s corporate pension and retirement service and also oversee national expansion. Prior to joining Jelf, Millward was head of client and consultancy services for HSBC Workplace Retirement Services.
Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP) has announced the departure of Peter Cockburn as head of UK equities. His departure is a result of a structural change in the company's equity strategy layout. James Clunie has taken over management of the SWIP UK Opportunities fund and the SWIP UK Select Growth fund.
