Appointments update 20 February

Aon has appointed Tony Pugh as head of DC solutions EMEA.

Pugh joins Aon after 28 years at Mercer where he served as a senior partner, advising some of the UK largest companies and defined benefit schemes, including multi-national companies on their DC arrangements. Before this, he led Mercer's UK DC Retirement business and its European DC business for three years. He brings with him a wealth of experience advising defined benefit and DC schemes, companies and trustees and has also worked in strategy and design, developing benefit programmes for financial services firms. Pugh is the latest of a series of appointments to Aon's DC team over the past year.

Aspect Capital has promoted Anna Hull to chief risk officer.

Hull has been promoted to CRO and to Aspect Capital's board and will be based in the firm's London headquarters. In the new role, she will be responsible for the oversight of investment and operational risk across the business and play a greater role in its strategic plans. Hull was previously director of risk, leading Aspect's Risk tem and served as director of product management before this. Prior to joining Aspect in 2008, Hull served in senior positions at Old Mutual Wealth Asset Managers and Northern Trust Global Investments.

NN Investment Partners has hired Hester Borrie as head of client group international.

Borrie will take on the role on 1 March 2017 and report into NNIP CEO Stan Beckers, as well as joining the International Management Committee. She brings with her 20 years of experience in investment management, specifically in global sales and marketing in the Netherlands and internationally. Additionally, Borrie has extensive management and business development expertise. She has been a member of the management board of Robeco Group N.V. for the past seven years and was head of distribution EMEA with Morgan Stanley Asset Management before that.
