Gemma Godfrey has joined Brooks Macdonald Asset Management 's (BMAM) investment committee (IC) and will work as an investment director and as the head of investment strategy. She will sit on the asset allocation committee, responsible for the framework of the investment proposition, take the leading role in formulating and communicating BMAM’s economic research for both clients and IFAs. Godfrey previously had the role of chairman of the investment committee at Credo Capital.
Peter Coleman has been appointed chief executive officer (CEO) of Positive Solutions. Coleman will work with James McCourt, risk and compliance director, to complete Positive Solutions’ final preparations for RDR transition and to identify further opportunities to grow the business. He replaces Jim Reeve who has left to pursue alternative opportunities within the financial services sector.
Mercer has appointed Nigel Carter as a partner and client manager. Carter will be responsible for managing a portfolio of major institutional clients from across the UK and supporting client relationship management in the Midland/South West market. He previously worked as head of executive search for HR consultancy, Independent Ltd where he focused on recruitment process outsourcing and talent management.
